A timber frame truss roof with ridge beam purlins and common rafters is a stunning combination that creates visual interest and structural complexity. Under 18 foot trusses have 8x8 and 6x8 main members. Trusses are custom made for you using your choice of red oak white oak eastern white pine western red cedar douglas fir even black walnut. We offer three options for your timber trusses joint connections.

Your timber trusses will be made using southern yellow pine douglas fir western red cedar or reclaimed timbers. Our standard wood species is free of heart douglas fir which yields minimal cracking. Each truss is made to order using post and beam connections which allows the look and feel of timber frame joinery but without the added costs. There is a hierarchy of timber framing at work here with trusses supporting the ridge and purlin beams.

Other wood species are available at your request and we can also make log trusses.
